Hannah Yu, PhD
Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry
The Department of Biological and Molecular Sciences welcomed Hannah Yu as a visiting assistant professor of chemistry in 2023. She arrived from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, where she worked as a visiting assistant professor in the institution’s chemistry department the previous year.
Previously, she gained higher education teaching experience as an assistant professor of chemistry at Malone University in Ohio (2016-17) and as a visiting assistant professor at Skidmore College in New York (2014-15). Hannah earned a PhD in analytical chemistry in 2013 from Auburn University, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 2006 from Hebei University in China.

Outside the Classroom
Hannah lives in Hillsboro with her husband David and son Andrew, and attends The Church in Portland in Clackamas. Hannah enjoys jogging and exploring outdoors with family and friends.
