Football Game Day
The Stoffer Family Stadium and Lemmons Family Field complex is home to the university’s and teams. It was completed in 2014, in time for the return of George Fox football following a 46-year hiatus.
The complex includes the synthetic-turf Lemmons Family Field, grandstand seating for 1,200, and a state-of-the-art video board. Stoffer Family Stadium's permanent seating accommodates about 2,800 fans, but during highly attended games capacity can be boosted to more than 3,300.
Stoffer Family Stadium is named for Brad and Katharine Stoffer, whose $1.2 million lead gift (a combined gift from the Stoffers and their Boedecker Foundation) helped make the stadium, and the return of football, a reality. Lemmons Family Field was funded through a personal donation by John and Joan Lemmons, founders of Pacific Fibre Products, and Larry Lemmons, the company’s president.
The covered stands and the artificial turf infield have also greatly benefited the track and field program. The new stadium has enabled George Fox to host more meets and higher-quality events, and in 2015 the facility hosted the Northwest Conference championships.
