Donor-Funded Scholarships for Undergraduates at George Fox
Traditional undergraduate students at George Fox are encouraged to apply for donor-funded scholarships. Separate applications are available for new, incoming students and returning students.

There are more than 200 donor-funded scholarships available to returning students, ranging from $500 to $15,000! Examples of criteria include, but are not limited to, background, academic major, financial need, career goals and grade level. Once on the donor-funded page, you’ll find detailed descriptions of scholarships and the requirements for each.
After submitting your application, you will be able to see each scholarship for which you were considered.
Returning Student Deadlines:
- Dec 1: Application Opens
- February 15: Early Bird Deadline. Be entered into a drawing to win a $500 Early Bird Scholarship!
- March 3: Final Deadline
- April: Award Notifications Sent
New, Incoming Student Deadlines:
- May 1: Application Opens

Donor-Funded Scholarship Short-Answer Questions
This year the donor-funded scholarship application has no essay requirement! Instead, we will ask you four short-anwer questions. Some scholarships require additional documentation or essays. Once you submit your primary application, you will be prompted to turn in the additional requirements, if necessary.
The short-answer questions for the 2025-26 donor-funded application are:
- What led you to choose your specific major?
- Describe a facet of your identity, background, or story that is essential to who you are.
- What do you want your legacy to be, and how do you hope to accomplish it with a George Fox education?
- Share what it means to you to be part of the George Fox community, and/or any Be Known moments you have experienced.
Short answers should be no more than 250 words.

You must be a traditional undergraduate student intending to be enrolled full-time for the academic year in which you are applying. Returning students and new, incoming students are all eligible, but will have separate application periods.
New, incoming students: You must be admitted and submit your enrollment deposit by May 1 to be considered.

Once your application is submitted, you will be able to see which specific scholarships you were applied to.
Make sure to submit your application early, as some scholarships have additional requirements which you will not see until after you submit your primary application.
Yes! The application opens on Dec. 1 and is due by March 3 for returning students. That means you will have approximately three months to complete the application requirements. New, incoming students will have from May 1 to June 1 to complete their application.
The application doesn't have to be completed all at once. Answers are automatically saved as you complete them, and you can return to the application at any time to work on the rest!

Yes! You should continue to apply for these scholarships every year. New scholarships are added each year and many are based on grade level, so there may be new opportunities available to you every year.
Yes! We have more than 200 individual scholarships available for returning students, ranging from $500 to $15,000 per year!
Returning students:
Scholarship award notifications will be sent out at the beginning of April.
New, incoming students:
Scholarship award notifications will be sent out in mid-June.
Not Qualified: You are not eligible for the scholarship.
Qualified: You are eligible for the scholarship, but you may need to complete extra steps. Check your Dashboard for more information.
