Gabe Haberly

An instructor and coach familiar to the George Fox community, Gabe Haberly, joined the university as an assistant professor of physical therapy in 2021.

From the fall of 2013 to the spring of 2021, he worked on campus as an instructor in the kinesiology, mathematics, and education programs. Additionally, he served as an assistant wide receivers coach for the football team from 2013 to 2019.

Since the fall of 2012, Gabe has served as an assistant coach for track and field team, coaching the pole vault, javelin, sprints, and mult-event athletes. Gabe's additional teaching experience includes five years as a graduate teaching assistant in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences at Oregon State University and two years as an advanced mathematics teacher at Sheridan High School.

Gabe holds a PhD in biophysical kinesiology from Oregon State University (2021), a master’s degree in exercise and sport science from Oregon State University (2013), and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Linfield University (2009). He lives in Newberg with his wife, Janelle, and black lab, Maggie. They attend Chehalem Christian Fellowship.
